NAM TRIEU SHIPYARD DELIVERD THE 56.200DWT BULK CARRIER TRUONG MINH SEA

In the morning of 22nd June, 2018 in Hai Phong, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (a subsidiary of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation - SBIC) handed over  of 56,200DWT bulk carrier , named Truong Minh Sea to Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry JSC as the investor and Truong Minh International Joint Stock Company as the ship owner.

 

Attending the ceremony there were Mr. Ngo Tung Lam - Deputy General Director of Shipbuilding Industry Corporation – (SBIC); Representatives of NK Class (Japan), VR (Vietnam), ship owner and Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Co., witnessed the signing ceremony and handing over the symbolic key.

Truong Minh Sea has the hull No. F56-NT04; length overall 190m, the length between two perpendicular: 185m; 32.26m wide, 18.10m high, 12.7m draft with total tonnage of 56,472 tons. The vessel was designed by IHI Marine United INC., Registered by NK (Japan) and VR (Vietnam).

The 56,200 dwt bulk carrier has single hull, double bottom with five cargo holds with total capacity of 71,800m3; with hydraulic cargo hatch covers and 4 onboard cranes of 30 tons lifting capacity. The diesel engine of Wartsila 6RT-flex has a maximum output of 8,800 KW / 166 rpm.

Speaking at the ceremony, Leader of Nam Trieu Shipbuilding said: “This is the largest tonnage has been constructed and handed over by Nam Trieu Shipbuilding to the domestic partner to open the new direction in this difficult period and the world market is not very prosperous. In that difficult context, the company has endeavored to improve its products in order to ensure the best ship’s quality and schedule for handing over today.

With the delivery of the Truong Minh ship today, despite the challenges ahead, Nam Trieu Shipbuilding believes that it will overcome all difficulties and confident enough to commit to do the next successfully product that Shipbuilding Industry Corporation and ship owners have entrusted to.
