SSIC has successfully built and launched Passenger ferry (Catamaran)

On 06 November 2017, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd (SSIC) and Hoa Binh Shipping Joint Stock Company held the launching ceremony of Passenger ferry named Hoa Binh -01.

Passenger ferry carrying the code design CAT-HB01 is twin hulls  with a high-strength steel (A36), 5083 aluminum superstructure  designed to carry passengers and small vehicles. The ferry has two propellers, two main engines.

Ferry have the following main specifications:

Length Max:  Lmax = 54.02 m

Beam Max:    Bmax = 15.27 m

Depth:            D = 3.90 m

Number of crew members: 10 people

Number of passengers: 459 people

The ferry can carry cars in the main deck, including two-wheeled vehicles, four-seat vehicles, seven-seat vehicles, bus from 16 seats to 45 seats and light trucks.

Catamaran Hoa Binh-01 are designed to meet the National Technical Standard QCVN 21: 2010 BGTVT, Rules of decentralization and shipbuilding of hull steel.

Ferry was classified by Vietnam Register with: * VRHII and * VRM

Sai Gon Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. Carried out the technical and construction design.

Catamaran Hoa Binh-01 was built by SSIC from May 19th 2017.

After the launching ceremony Hoa Binh-01, SSIC will continue to complete building and hand over to Hoa Binh Shipping Joint Stock Company by the end of December 2017.
